Thanks for the heads-up on the driver issue guys. I was planning to finally upgrade to Win10 after I finish this current gig (schedule clean until Jan 6 - woohoo!) and as you can see, I have a 780Ti and two 580s. I'll be sure to install 358.50. ;)

thanks for the heads up....windows just downloaded the update and I was about to let it install...hopefully Nvidia can fix this soon

It was a little cumbersome installing it if I remember...took a few restarts until the cards are fully functioning. But as bitboy said the newest win update even screwed that...so may want to hold off upgrading until nvidia gets a hold of this

I feel stupid for asking. I'm having a hard time finding where the octane 3 standalone beta download is located ?

edited.
Found it.

Got an issue with activation. Removed all Octane 2 plugins, copied the .dat etc to the bin folder and added plugin.

On trying to enable the plugin I'm getting an error message saying "Invalid Octane Live plugin account or wrong liveID/password combination".

I've copied my username/password from my otoy account so I'm sure they are correct.

Octane 3 standalone runs though.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Deactivated my license on the OTOY site and I'm still getting the same error message. :(

The same license that you are using with Octane 2.2? Weird, it should work without problems.

Can you please delete the octane.cfg file available in your LightWave configuration folder and try again?

Juanjo, any way the new version is coming before Xmas? I actually have free time on my hands (probably not alone) for the first time in quite a while. Really itching for baking etc in LW...

Hi

I installed LW Octane on a machine with Nvidia 4200 & win 7, now I'm installing another license on a i7 with dual Nvidia 5000s and win 10. A simple scene with primitives renders almost instantly on the 4200/win 7 machine, but very slowly on the dual 5000 win 10. Both GPUs are on, in the Octane Render options. Is there a reason why it is rendering so slowly on the dual 5000 machine?

Thanks
Marjan

marjan, this thread is for a version of LW plug that is over a year old. You want the latest: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=58130
