Seriously, you have a great wife (not to alarm you anything, but I would just check if she's not perhaps having an affair...)
Hah! Well, that would be alarming as we just got back from our honeymoon last week...

She's an After Effects compositor, so she's a bit more familiar with the frustration of render times than most wives. Especially the constraints of freelancing, which she's been doing for the past 10+ years.

Happy wife, happy life. And, it seems, lost of happy rendering for you to come, Riggles! Let us know your scores and how you find those new titan black monsters!

I'm not married to my other half, but if she knew I had just blown £1200 on a Netstor GPU enclosure, soon not be followed by another grand on GTX 780Tis, I'm pretty sure the atmosphere would be a bit tense.

I'm hoping that when she eventually sees the enclosure I can bluff her with "it's external storage" or something. Although this thing is a bit big for a hard drive.

I'm also slightly worried about the upcoming electricity bills... which she pays.

Just got my EVGA GTX 780 6GB.
Here are my results:

Direct lighting: 34.22
PMC: 4.64
Path Tracing: 5.37

Are these results compareable to other GTX 780 6GB builds?

Anyways i'm happy, its a pretty big jump from my 750 ti which is now only used for the displays.

Cool, thank you! I will try it, but after I have finished my current project, the deadline is tomorrow and i don`t want to fuck anything up :D

I guess when I do this my card will drain more power, right? I only have a 630 PSU (be quiet pure power). Do you think it still can power the gtx 780 + my 750 ti?
