Thanks for the report. I've found and fixed a small memory leak, but it shouldn't have been too noticeable. How much have you seen the memory usage jump? That video (and/or an example scene) would be great if it's not too much trouble.Padi wrote:Is the issue known that memory (still) leaks after pausing/finishing a render? Tested in Standalone with an ORBX file. Can share a video if required.

I have fixed this and it will be in the next release.funk wrote:Bug: Dirt texture stops working when material is plugged into a composite material node
1. Select the render target to start the render. You'll see a teapot with a dirt material
2. Open the mat1 nodegraph and plug the output of the composite material node into the input of the "material out" node
RESULT: The dirt texture stops working
If I use a mix material instead of a composite, it works

I can't use the dirt node with the Baking Texture. Noises do work, but Dirt gives no result
Hi guys,
My office has been using Octane since v2.
I just purchased a full enterprise license priced at 699 euros which will provide access to v 2019.
Can you advise if I install v4 rather than v2019 will this newly purchased license still be used as normal?
Can you also advise what version the license will become once the the yearly subscription expires?
Cheers

Another user pointed out this bug to me.
Layered materials dont seem to work correctly if you have a layer, and the BASE MATERIAL pin comes from a MIX or COMPOSITE material
1. Load the ocs and right click the layered material > render. You will see a MIXed diffuse/metallic checkered material
2. Plug the Specular layer into the the layered material > layer 1 pin
The entire material becomes glass. It should become a clear coated diffuse/metallic checkered material

There is a regression with Universal material + medium fake shadow + albedo
1. Load the attached OCS and render the universal material
2. Set Albedo to 0.001
The medium gets darker. This does not happen in 2018.1
Left = Albedo 0.0, Right = Albedo 0.001

For dirt to work, the baking texture would require the geometry, which is not available during the baking process. I.e. that's a limitation of the current version of the baking texture.Hesekiel2517 wrote:I can't use the dirt node with the Baking Texture. Noises do work, but Dirt gives no result
