I did not buy them in that time, because Otoy said we would not see this in the first half of 2019. I think I read that in one of the threads of they Facebook page when It just got released.Thank you for your responses.
One more question, when can we actually expect RTX support to become part of regular releases, beyond this preview version? To me, it is the feature of interest No.1. I purchased 2x RTX 2080Ti solely because of Octane last year in November and still cant use them to their full potential more than half year later. Obviously, that was my choice, still i made it in good faith it will actually become usable feature soon enough for it to matter, at least half-way into the life-cycle of Turing generation. Which may be about now, hence my question.

Support for RT cores is coming as part of Octane 2019.2. The first experimental build (XP1) should be available shortly in the development build releases section of the forum. As always, a production version will be available as soon as possible once we've gathered enough feedback to release a stable build.
There's been a couple of experimental releases already which latest you can find and download here:

Hello there, i have been out of loop lately, did not check for the latest progress, so how does it look like? In a week or so it will be a year since i bought 2080Ti, so it would be nice to finally unlock its RTX functionality in some meaningful manner - by which i mean not just some preview build or benchmark, but something useful for production (even if in release candidate form).
If its already happening, my apology.

I did, thanks bepe. I still have a question when you get the chance. Is 2019.2 still coming out or what? I'm confused 6 ways from Wednesday right about now. I see 2020XB1 XB2, and then this entire thread is about how 2019.2 is coming out in... Well, in 2019. So, is it still coming out in 2019, or did it become "Octane 2020"
Also, happy holidays!
