The previous 2018 build worked fine for me.
yeah I used to just have the houdini plugin, no all-access, but 2 days ago I got the annual houdini + all-access license and I can use 2018.1 in houdini now, and also the stand alone. I could not without all access though.

I am getting the maximum limit of 2 gpu's warning. How do I fix this? Is it a licensing issue? I just paid 199 to upgrade my licenses to all access subscription - which I didn't think I had to. Issue still persists!

what the hell! I just noticed I am actually limited to 2 gpu's too !! what is this? I didn't just spend $200 on this crap to be limited to 2 gpu's specially not since octane4 has a limit of 20! what kind of logic is that?

absolute rip-off if this is intentional.

Same here, also running into the 2GPU limit issue after upgrading to the Enterprise all-access. I hit support up about it but still waiting to hear back..

No where does it mention on the subscription/store pages that there even is a GPU limit outside the standing 20GPU limit. Definitely unacceptable if this stands and would be a deal-breaker for me.

If you have an Enterprise subscription license, you should not have the GPUs limit, but you must install the Enterprise plugin builds because if you continue with the Studio plugin builds the limitation is going to be still there.

About the 2 GPUs limit, this is how the Studio subscription license works in Octane 2018.1 and beyond, sorry. The Studio subscription is limited to 2 GPUs and no network rendering. If you update your license to Enterprise, you remove these limitations, and you get an extra render node license that you can use in a second computer to use it for network rendering for free.

Hope it helps,

juanjgon is right. If you've upgraded to the Enterprise subscription you'll need to remove the existing VR version. You need the Enterprise Subscription standalone and plugin. That fixed the issue for me.

Thanks!

The point/vertex attribute support does not seem to extend to curves? If I enable curves/fur on an object I can't seem to pass color/attribute info to the shader anymore. Am I correct on this or screwing something up? Passing a color attribute works fine until I enable that option

Not yet, sorry. Currently, the custom attributes feature is only available for the mesh objects, but extending this feature to the curves, instances and particles is a planned feature in the short term. Meanwhile, you can use the "Pack Color/Alpha attributes in the UV map" workaround, that you can enable in the Octane OBJ spare parameters, Fur tab.

Thanks,
