Guys,

I'd love to hear you opinion about fans: there are two I want to go with (I tested 7 fans and two of them are my favourite).

Which one do you like better?

NoiseBlocker Pro PL2
NoiseBlocker M12-S2

OR but PL2 1400 RPM

Try a minimal setup, too. My Aquacomputer Gigant 3360 is in repair, so I bought an emergency radiator, a 560mm long and 45mm thick aquacool nexxxos (all copper) ... I mounted the four 140mm Enermax TB Silent fans on it in push config (creates denser air in the copper fins than pull) ... And what can I say: it happily cooled my Hexacore CPu and three 780ti at about 1120 MHz when running the Octane Demo on all CPUs... I think temps were nicely below 50C for a long time, have to recheck later for more accurate reports. All of it quite silent, since the TB Silence are very, very quiet even at a full, unregulated 12V. I was very impressed with what this comparatively small (compared to the gigant ) radiator could do. I stuck to the "1 fan per component" rule and it works with this nice radiator. Now my loudest part is the Seasonic 1250W PSU which is rather loud when its fan runs (and it does frequently, even in idle). It's technically perfect, but I'd like a quiet 1200+W PSU, if that even exists...

Try just push first etc. No need to introduce too many fans etc.

Voon,

Thank you for your insight. I am glad you succeeded with your watercooled system. As you see (link from my signature) I already assembled quad gpus on water and my temps are nicely 35-40C under load. Push-pull allows to set fans to much lower rpms than push or pull only and gives better temps, especially at 1300Mhz on all gpus. That's why I go wit it.

I also modded my PSU with custom fan and external RPM controller - much better than a stock fan.

..talking about silence & PSU I think there's 800W passive PSUs
(well, for quad GPU You'd probably need two of those & then..
quite some of airflow in order to keep them controllable cool =)

@Voon, would be interesting to hear Your experience with that rad!
p.s. what's happened so You need to get it back?

Glimpse,

Someone knocked at my door just a minute ago and... Aquacomputer rads and pomps arrived :) They were supposed to be within 5 weeks. Stay tuned for photos within minutes.

That copper pipes & fins are nuts..- You can put that rad on the wall as a show piece!

Never though these mods for rad come separate (so You'll have some spare pieces to experiment with! =)
