hi,stratified, I do not get to run the script, I found by chance. I use a server (I : ) for all file.
the script does not work on server it runs on (C : ) only.
I'm glad it works,
would be possible to:
- Add keyboard shortcuts.
- Add del key frame buttons
- To have scripting with the server (I : ) or other letters

hi...as ive written in the modo plugin forum already ...

im just strolling around the forum from time to time, and this time it really got me to say how awsome the support here is, almost interactive, responsive, friendly, always trying hard to find solutions right away...
i am used to the autodesk support and i have the feeling that bug reports or improvement proposals go straight either to spam folder or shredder if you fax it over...
so keep up the good work, its always a pleasure to see a company cares :D

Hi,

The script itself wasn't written by me so you should ask Mithrandir in this thread. You can only assign a shortcut to run the script (by adding a -- @shortcut alt+o to the top of the file). Assigning shortcuts for action in the script itself isn't supported in our Lua API.

Of course if Mithrandir runs into any problems with our API in our script, we're happy to help out.

edit: it looks like you already contacted the author.

cheers,
Thomas

We will write an outlook when we are ready to do that.

I hope that VFX stuff like particles and volumetrics and compositing options get added soon. Any plans for a Fusion plugin?

Thanks a lot for this new yet amazing update,

I am curious about how this build reads the different Uvs from an imported alembic scene.Im exporting from Houdini which lets you declare any attribute (polygon/point/vertex)with any name and save it to alembic scene, so it shouldnt be a problem to pass the second and third UV to octane as long as we know what naming and type of attribute octane looks for.

Also, talking about attributes and Alembic,Octane recognizes a Hair "Width" attribute from my alembic scenes which is great ,is there any list of extra HAIR "attributes" that Octane supports that we can make use?

In Houdini for Hair we declare 2 Uv: one at "primitive" level which stores the position of the follicle hair in the UV space of the parent geometry where the hair grows and a "vertex" uv which stores the uv value from root to tip (0=root 1=tip),now that we have multiple UV supported would it be possible to do something similar for Hair with the latest build?

Finally is there any plan to have the random Color node work not only with instances but also with Hairs? this would be great for a robust Hair shader.

once again Thanks a lot guys,
