It is simply amazing at which speed you push the updates =). Great work!
I can confirm MoGrafiks crash, even though it's not a full blown crash but rather a stall (hence, no crashreport):
If you stop the render in the queue or picture viewer, it stalls and waits for something in the background to finish. Looking at the Layers in the Picture Viewer, it seems like it's trying to render some native C4D passes. If you observe the render in the picture viewer, you will see the C4D Renderer working at some point (image attached). Looks like it's waiting for this to happen, and then the stall clears up and you can continue working. I tried this with 200 samples, to find out what's happening. You don't have to wait too long for it to get back on track. With a large render this is obviously not an option.
I'm running C4D Prime R15 on a GTX760 for rendering with a GTX460 for display. I attached a render log and the image I mentioned. Let me know if you need any further info.
Big Thanks =)

what happens when you point a different path for Render Pass image? I mean don't use a desktop folder. Also don't use AO pass._Fertig wrote:It is simply amazing at which speed you push the updates =). Great work!

Thank's for looking into it aoktar!
Redirecting the save path to the local folder (./tmp.exr) didn't help. Neither did disabling the ao pass. Once I disable the renderpasses at all the behavior disappears, so it looks like it's linked to the passes.
Is anyone else having these problems, so we can rule out that it's just some weird error on my setup?

I do not have render passes, I have tried it both ways with and without. I am using blackbody emission on a toroid to simulate a ring light on a camera. The picture viewer comes out darker than the live viewer, the emission is still working correctly, just darker.aoktar wrote:do you have render passes? it may occurs if you have. otherwise post some more infomossberg385t wrote:Hi Ahmet,
I am getting different renders in the picture viewer vs the live viewer. I have tried the suggestion in the FAQ to no avail. It appears to be a gamma issue as I can correct it in post. Do you have any suggestions I could try?
Thank you

Can anyone send me a scene which is stalled on rendering to Picture Viewer?

I want to do some explain after seeing crash comments of people. Render Passes is rendering synchronous to main rendering. After main rendering is finished all passes will be transferred to buffers and saved as single/multi files. This process can take a few seconds or more. This completely is depended to render size, pass count and cpu power. It's not a issue if you can continue to work after some stall.

I am sure that I am missing something, though I have never had this issue before.aoktar wrote:please post your test scene.
