What about layers materials? I'd like to get available all the c4d filters... In particular to manage image texture as color, saturation and so on... I mean: I Have a light wood and I need to trasform into a dark wood...
And yet, the random picture mapping, as in the latest 1.9 vray for c4d...
Thank you for the treat job you' ve done!

What do you mean with layer materials?lucioing wrote:What about layers materials? I'd like to get available all the c4d filters... In particular to manage image texture as color, saturation and so on... I mean: I Have a light wood and I need to trasform into a dark wood...

c4d's filters are rendering in cpu and mapped to geometry. So only uvmapping based shaders can works. No any possibility for edge shaders or similars.
Also somethings is more easy to do in cpu renderers. Because shaders are working in pixel sampling stage. And can be used directly.
But our problems is that we have to produce similar shaders to get same effects. So this is limiting that capability of plugins.
Btw, i have updated the plugin to 2.02. New sdk has several render bug fixes.

need much more noises...for big scenes the baking function for c4d noises doesn´t make the job and the few noises for octane are far not enough and not everything could be fixed with tileable texs..for small objects the c4d noisebaking works ... need really procedurale different noises fo surfaces..that what be a great gift

some new shaders are on my wishlist like better noise functions. atm we should work with shaders of Octane as much as possible

my whishlist was posted earlier. but one of the mostv important things missing are octane intern hue/saturation/brightness/.... filters. and octane intern layering with add/multiply/screen and so on..
+1 these would be very nicemomade wrote:my whishlist was posted earlier. but one of the mostv important things missing are octane intern hue/saturation/brightness/.... filters. and octane intern layering with add/multiply/screen and so on..

One thing that I would love is to be able to change the shape of the lens aperature to different shapes or at least some control over points or how round it is. Obviously I have no clue how hard this would be to implement.
Absolutely love v2, amazing work sir!!!

one thing, that could improove performance of c4d-shader-to-octane:
also unused materials get rendered to octane. only converting used materials for render would improove prefarationtime massively in case of 100 of materials, but only wanting to tune one of them.
also multicore usage for convertig would be great. i see my cpu only at about 25% usage while converting.
