OctaneRender for ArchiCAD comes out of beta on the 22nd July, so if you would like to pick up the plugin at the current reduced "beta" pricing, purchase it prior to that date.

Hi folks,

It's great that OctaneRender has been released for ArchiCAD!

Unfortunately at the same time a few crashes landed in our bug reporting system.
Whom shall I send the detailed crash information to?

Thanks,

Hi Akos - can you pls email them to me - paul at physicalc-software dot com.

I haven't had any issues reported with the latest release - so I suspect these reports will be for earlier versions - but I will check anyway.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry, for some reason I couldn't match your name to the company :?

I've just sent you a letter with the details.

Best, Ákos

Hi! How is it going with the plugin for MacOSX then? :) Any news about it?

Hi Pau

I had the plugin compiling for AC17, but it became evident that it was going to be quite a lot of work to get everything running correctly. In particular pln files need to be able to be interchanged between Win and OSX and that would require some careful coding and testing. So for the moment I have stopped development until I can dedicate more time to it.

Sorry

Paul

I have done quite a lot of work on the OSX version of the ArchiCAD plugin. However because there are some differences between the ArchiCAD API for Windows and OSX, there are a lot of challenges to overcome, and I am still unsure if the version implemented on Windows is viable on OSX. For example, the current Windows version of the plugin uses the standard STL C++ library, however this library cannot be used in the OSX version, so it means rewriting substantial parts of the plugin. So in summary, I cannot 100% be sure an OS version will be possible, but I am working on it as time permits.
