Are you saving mesh nodes with the materials embedded in the material node pins?
- Yes, I save with materials embedded.
Do the same material setups fail to load on any object you use?
- I have made several cars in different obj, with same settings for some materials, specially textured specular glass on front lights, and the trouble is present on each car when saving/loading it as a macro ocm.

As always, it happens on very big models as almost all my models are big. I will try to build a simplified file showing the trouble.

Edit : I spent much time on experiments and making a simplified file. The result can't be the same as there are too many big textures that I dont want to provide. I have replaced some with procedural textures. I have noticed that the trouble with specular materials comes from the fact that I didn't created a macro for the Kernel settings, and the Kernel was not the same in the host scene : Pathtracing in the original file where I created the obj/ocm, and Direct lighting in the host scene.

In one test, the specular material has been turned into a diffuse material, but I couldn't reproduce the trouble.

 So far I can't say more. Forget this report for now. The problem will probably not exist any more when I will use only ocs and ocm made with the same most recent version.

I have been playing with the turntable animation and for the life of me, I can not get it to work. I did a search on the forums just to make sure that I'm not doing something stupid. I have tried to set the camera target by using the focus picker, the target picker, and by entering it manually. But when I start the animation, the target values start to change and the animation skews off of what I consider the camera rotation plain. Is the target point supposed to change during the render? I also turned off auto focus and made sure that the camera is upright, but no help. :( Any other ideas or is this a bug? Thanks,

Jason

@grimm : maybe there is a bug, because in the past I did several turntable animations without problem, using the target picker to select the center of rotation. The past week, I tried to do a turntable animation, and noticed after the render was completed that the center of rotation was wrong; As I had no time at this moment, I didn't investigate more, but it might by something wrong in a recent Octane revision.

I have responsivenes issues with the interface.
When I change material settings or reconnecting nodes the interface freezes sometimes for a few seconds ( 4s in PT 10+ seconds in DL).
Does anybody else has responsiveness issues with the new release and GTX 580s / 590s?

the fast responsiveness is one of the key benefits of Octane...
I hope they will fix it for the next release.
Can't wait to see your new storyboard niuq.

Thanks ROUBAL, it's good to know that it wasn't something I'm doing. :)
