point lights are just (a cheap approximation of) very small square area lights.

Octane is the reason I just bought 6 nvidia cards. They defiantly owe you lol. I hope you get a commission on the xpanders then I will feel better.

Maybe because Octane is running fine on gaming cards instead of Tesla's :D :roll:

I'm thinking about buying a second rig just for Octane rendering. I'm not touching anything that doesn't have Cuda.

But that's true for most everything. Adobe Premiere CS5 also runs fine on gaming cards.

maybe because octane is a iRay (nvidia renderer) competitor, and probably costs wayyyyyy less.
