If I render it with mental ray it will need one for sure..
But with octane totally does't required..

I really do not see the point of AO pass with unbiased rendering… specially in Architecture.

Hi all, here is some sun shot. Render times was 4 times faster than ones lit by HDRI.

very cool but the supersampling trick may have helped, there a bit of aliasing...

Yeah you are right, but this was rendered for preview on lower resolution..

could you render some more but with less FOV, one or two is ok but more is too much ;)
