-> failed to allocate device array
CUDA error 2 on device 0: The API was unable to allocate enough memory to perform the requested operation.

Although memory issue makes no sense to me as I've seen people working in Octane on machines less inferior to mine (Asus ROG G750JS with 32 GB RAM, 3GB memory on graphics).
I'll collect the data and send a report. Again, I didn't have this popup error in either one of the V3 betas, just troubles to getting the scene to load in render window.
Octane 3 uses more memory if you have the parallel samples > 1. Try turning ON out of core textures.

Looks like pushing memory out of core did it and textures no longer cause the error when loaded, I have a render running now nice and smooth :)
Thank you so much for jumping in to help, this was literally driving me nuts.

Latest 64-bit versions of things (Win 7 pro, nVidia drivers, DS 4.9, Octane standalone and OcDS).
Installed them (driver, Octane 3 and OcDS) all a bit earlier and all went fine (I loathe installing drivers ...!). Octane activated fine and runs fine. DS, however, starts, gets past splash scree and then crashes:

I deleted all things OcDS-related and DS starts fine (I am VERY glad to say). I thought a re-install fixed it, but the crash still happened - it just seemed to take a bit longer.

I've just upgraded to v3 standalone and plugin. I'm using the latest v3 plugin beta. Do I need to update the license to the v3 one I just bought or will the v2 license continue to work for now? I want to carry on using the v3 beta because it's the only one that animates D-formers correctly.

Spectralis, they are the one license, so you should not need to do anything.

Simon, pls read the link in my signature particularly the section on Nvidia driver versions.

Yes, the v3 beta seems to work fine without updating upgraded license.

If the plugin 3.0 for DAZ Studio also works with the standalone 2.0, exactly, when I paid for the 3.0 plugin, what I bought?

Oh crap ... the earliest nVidia offer/list is 359.06. Why do I have this nasty feeling it HAS to be 358.50 for it to work? Is there any prospect of OcDS working with later versions of the driver? Ok, a bit of lateral thinking and not using the nVidia search has allowed me to get the nVidia site to offer the right driver version! ;)

And that helped inasmuch as DS starts, menu is built, responds ... for about 5 seconds, and then crashes. Having severe sense of humor failure ...

System is Win 7 Pro, 64-bit, 2 x GTX 680M with 4GB VRAM. Driver version is now quoted as being 10.18.13.5850 by Device Manager GeForce Experience confirms it is 358.50. Back to CUDA driver 7.5 (reported by Octane 3, which works nicely)

Sorry - I'm a bit confused by which Nvidia drivers are and are not working with DAZStudio for you. Can you provide more information pls?
