After 3 months, please email us again, asking "is there a Prime version of LightWave?" It's possible we may release a free version of our LightWave plugin but I'll know more in a few months.

Thanks,
Kevin

The conversation took place on October 5-6 this year. So it's not a promise, but some possibility.

As we payed for BF Octane Deal this year as well to be able to use Lightwave Version of Octane - maybe there is another chance at a tribute build for LW?

Maybe most have moved on, but I am sure there are some users left, that still use LW / Octane daily like myself.

Hi,
I have finally upgrade to V2021 from Studio+ Black Friday version. Two subscriptions : one for my workstation and another one for my render node. If I read correctly, Studio+ version allow network rendering. However, I got a message that tell me Network rendering is not available for Studio version !
Is really there a 2021 studio+ version for lightwave EOL ?
Please help.
Edit : In addition, there is no more Entreprise version available…

I suppose that you should be able to continue using your current 2021.1 "enterprise" and "studio" plugin builds as long as you have an active subscription, but currently, there isn't a LightWave plugin 2021.1 "studio+" version to allow the network rendering while working with the "studio" plugin builds.

Hi Juanjo and thank for the reply,
There is no Entreprise option available on OTOY web site and if I install Entreprise plug-in I get a message telling me I do not have subscription for Entreprise…

Yes, it would be nice that OTOY show us how we can use it with this new Licensing system (Studio+ only) and LW plugin ?

Thanks

I just ran into this issue as well. I can't seem to activate my subscription on the older tribute build plugins (since my Enterprise subscription just expired), it won't recognize my new subscription. I'm still looking into it and will keep people posted if I figure something out (not good because I can't use Octane at all at work until I figure it out) Using 2021.1.5 Octane and 2019.1.5 LW

UPDATE: I am allowed to use my new Studio+ subscription with LW, but because it's Studio LW and not Enterprise (or Studio+) it won't allow network rendering. :(
I know they warned us, but I just had a network box of 4 brand new GPUs go limp...

UPDATE: Support updated my current sub to allow use with LW. Also, as you may have noticed, Juanjo graciously gave us another update to use (haven't tried it yet, I'm mid-project). So grateful for all the work you've done over the years Juanjo, it was a great run while it lasted!!!
