I hear they’re waiting for XB1 core to release for all plugins and tiers to get 2022. It sounds like a huge release with plenty of fixes and features so not surprised we haven’t heard much recently

As soon as it comes to saving the image Octane bombs C4D.
Which issue that's bombing something?
When saving out sequences with multipass AOV's Octane crashes.
It renders out the first frame perfectly fine but as soon as it tries to save it Octane bombs.
I've tried it on several scenes just to make sure it wasn't scene related.

I've now stepped back to 2021 latest version and everything works fine.

I was going to test this, but the link from the first page that says "This is the SDK matching OctaneRender® 2022.1 XB 0." Takes me to a page for Octane 2021.1.1.

That doesn't seem like it's linking correctly.

I have noticed a lighting mismatch between v2021 stable and 2022, it looks like in v2022 values are multiplied by 10-100 not sure.
Also, when opening projects from v2021 stable, in v2022 some materials may look differently, mostly wrong, like glasses. If using a universal material with transmission mode specular, in v2022 it will be translated in transmission diffuse mode automatically.
As last thing, when going out of core, any camera parameter change like exposure or gamma (whatever you touch), simply restarts the render and it's a big pain actually. Is this meant to be this way? It's a long time since I do not go in OOC, so not sure if this is a problem or a feature XD

Hi,
please provide some scenes to us. It may be a matter of ticking some new parameters in latest version. Priority or transmission parameters may be a reason. Also there should not much differences on lighting. You may be using c4d shaders somewhere.

An updated SDK shouldn't be too far away, just a little bit of more patience.

ciao,
Beppe
