Oh I haven't tried that yet, not to keen on it as that card is twice is fast as the display gpu.

In this case you could disable the rendering in the display GPU and use it only for denoising ... this is only a test, to try to figure out what could be the problem.WoutTgh wrote:Oh I haven't tried that yet, not to keen on it as that card is twice is fast as the display gpu.

Oh, this is interesting. With these settings, the render starts but does nothing, no progress..

Same thing happens with these settings:
I see, haha, well that explains that then

When trying to use the "Export ORBX and Alembic files" option with "full scene reload" ON the octane ROP renders the scene to mplay even with "export without render scene" option ON. We were successful in exporting a fluid topology changing mesh out of the C4D plugin.
We'd very much like to have the ability to export orbx scenes out of houdini with topology changing meshes.

Yeah, sorry. This is a limitation of the Houdini plugin that I want to try to fix in the short term. The .orbx export only works in update scene mode. You could now export the sequence as a set of .orbx files, one per frame, using a script, but I suppose that the C4D plugin can export the fluid topology animation inside a single file and this is what you are looking for, right?ptunstall wrote:When trying to use the "Export ORBX and Alembic files" option with "full scene reload" ON the octane ROP renders the scene to mplay even with "export without render scene" option ON.
