You mean the material ball preview scene? It doesn't "pop up" here, when I make a change in the node inspector. What kind of changes do you make?
2. Loading transparency maps via float texture gives no transparency at all. A work around is to save the scene and reload it to get it working.

3. Reported refreshing of OBJ files not working for 2.47. It's still does not refresh in 2.48.
Thanks for that. I will have a look.

Cheers,
Marcus

The following was reported earlier in the thread (p. 2):
abstrax wrote:Regarding the memory display in the viewport status bar: We display now the amount of usable memory, i.e. graphics memory that is not used by other things.
So it seems that it used to report total memory, but now reports available memory.

Great news! Just one question:
abstrax wrote: - the disadvantage of rendering full frames on each device is that you don't gain better intereactivity with more GPUs (it still renders faster though)
This concerns only active GPUs right? U still get the benefit of better responsiveness with separate display card?

Yes, the material ball preview scene pops up.
I always load a fully textured scene so I don't need to see that. It happens when I do tweaks in the node inspector. Make sure you use the color picker and a new OBJ scene as this seems to make the material ball preview scene pop up! But doesn't seem to happen if you load the file as .OSC!

Make a new scene and use the color picker and click on a texture.
Change the float texture to RGBspectrum, Float Image, Float Texture and so on, will get the preview ball to pop up. That never happened before. Use the color picker for picking a texture to change.

I had a bug when paning the view when rendering in the view port (rendering resolution : HD1080). I used one GTX460.
I don't think it's overheat of the videocard as I have cool air in the room.
I have never had this bug since my use of Octane.

I noticed frames per seconds has been removed. It was nice to have to check the speed. Any chance to have it back?
