Hi!
I have an issue with the latest version.
Under devices, use for denoise option keeps unchecking itself.
So, when I try to render multiple takes, it renders the first take but then it hangs on the first frame of the second take.
Is there a way to force this setting to on by default?
Thanks

please, check to have enabled the denoiser in all the Octane Camera tags involved in the scene.

Saving function is not working for denoising devices. I hope to fix it for next version.skai_tv wrote:Hi!

1. choose a light Pass ID in each light emitter
2. on the octane object tag, u can now disable desired light passes for that object
Sorry, how are you doing this?
I have two lights, each has a Light pass ID of 2 and 3.
I bring in a glossy sphere and put an octane object tag on it, go to Object Layer and make sure Use Light pass mark is set to disable.
I've also set each of the ID settings in that tab (Instance ID, Layer ID, and Bake ID (just to cover all of my bases)) to 2 and 3 and I get no change.
I tried it but nothing changed..bepeg4d wrote: Hi,

Hello all! I'm having lots of issues with this version, mainly with render settings being switched to Infochannels randomly plus in general the settings are being reset constantly. Can I save new default render settings? Also seems like the denoiser doesn't work for me, if I try to render to PV it doesn't save the frames if I have denoiser enabled. The new viewport mode is great, but it makes my C4D GUI very unstable and flickering, so I can't really use it for long.
Hi.
Thanks for this version.
There is a problem in the camera imager/kernel settings. They somehow keep resetting and I always need to set response back to linear/gamma 2.2 and also path tracing changes to info channels and when I change it back every parameter is reset.
Can you please check that?
Thanks.

Path tracing to info channels is a bug I have all the time as well. Seems to be when I enable Renderpasses, view a renderpass by clicking on it in the Live viewer, and then try to render or go back. It also completly destroys the emission of the lights and disables SSS somehow. Putting back the right settings doesn't compare to the original PT result (before it reset to infochannels).Yan wrote:Hi.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to beat down on your splendid work Ahmet. I fucking love what you do and I'm super excited for what's to come! Thankyou!
I've finally found the issue and fixed. I'll make a new build for you.GillesKontrol wrote: Path tracing to info channels is a bug I have all the time as well. !
