Love the simplify of the metal material. Now I need to try to understand the new parameters in it :)

That and the toon material. Very cool stuff.

Is there anything approaching a manual?

Not yet, but check the 3.08 Standalone release notes. The workflow of the new features inside LightWave should be near the same.

Not sure if this is a bug... When I instance something that has its pivot point off zero zero in modeler.... it shows up correctly in viewport, but octane offsets it.

Please, check if both object layers have the same name because in this case, by default, the plugin is going to instance the second copy from the first one. If you want to send me the scene, I could take a look at it.

Anyone else noticed that opacity maps don't work?

This problem can be related to this one, that sounds to me like a Octane core bug:

Any scene to reproduce the problem could help a lot.
