IPR renders fine. F9, F10 crash. Scene with heavy instances.

Yes, by disabling the preview window the cash issue is not there anymore. I am supriced you could not reproduce the carash on your side, but what you have done under IPR options does solve the problem.
In any even, it is a feature that should have been there anyway as my guess it would make renders a bit quicker anyway.... and save memory.

I've seen also problems like this if you have 0 scale instances in one or more frames. Is it possible that any instance could have a 0 scale?

This information saved my sanity. Thanks for the info. Was scaling the instances parent to 0 to hide the instances in certain times during my shot. (.01 and they don't crash anymore.) Odd that it only occurred on my 12th version of render the same scene setup, with LESS instances than before.
