i was really confused with that build. It was a very hard decision since there are so many parameters to take into account. On the one hand indeed 7x-8x 980tis on water will bring the best value for money, on the other hand there are so many parameters that effects this decision like money / power consumption / heavy machine / future thoughts about selling it / 1slot modification, etc etc..
We decided to go now with 4x GTX 980ti on x99 e ws 3.1 as Sebastian said, i'm sure it will be more then enough for me
