Looks like Lightwave is able to plug procedurals in to Octane's Volumetric Absorption Texture:

Is this likely to be programme dependent and not available in all applications? (similar to procedural displacement.)

So maybe, just maybe, in that pull-down menu with Sphere, Cube etc, there is an option to use mesh?....

So that means the max no of GPUs in the network will be increased ???

regarding the max gpu limit I think there is a price to pay...
quad Titan Kepler 6GB + quad Titan X Pascal 12GB + quad GTX1080 8GB + dual GTX1080Ti 11GB

Still TBD for now. When we release alpha 2 next week, it will have final network rendering functionality/node options locked down. I think it will be a big improvement over the limits we have in 2.x.
