Awsome features for the release, those will enable many great effects.

Any chance to get an Alpha colour band onto that Gradient bar, or another Gradient Bar for Alpha?

but nvidia have made some changes to the opengl interoperability in cuda 3.2 which completely breaks multi-gpu support.
I'm not sure as to the motives of nvidia changing this but i assume it's something that's a non-issue with quadro and tesla product fermi chips/drivers.
Just want to confirm, are you saying that multigpu using CUDA 3.2 functions properly on quadro/tesla but not on GTX 4XX+?

No, that means, that Radiance assumes that it's working better there, but we don't know, because we don't have Quadro or Tesla cards (EDIT: no Fermi based Quadro/Tesla cards here in NZ at the moment).

Anyway, we plan to avoid this whole issue completely in the future, basically by skipping the OpenGL part. Unfortunately there are still too many unknowns to say anything concrete.

Cheers,
Marcus

Ok, since people are heavily asking for stuff...

The thing I missed the most in the last days is the ability to duplicate macros. A full copy and a "linked" copy that shares internals (but allows different input data through pins) would be nice. As would the ability to move nodes between tabs in GE.

Also a way to get out from Octane a series of differently tonemapped images of the same render when (batch) rendering from the command line. I hope that when Octane will output .exr, we will be able to load the file and do tonemaping of the render in Octane.

And one of the most annoying thing is the frequent render re-starts on actions that don't change anything in the pipeline - like dragging nodes around.

Sorry to be a pain in the rear bottom area :D

Hi, As feature requests, I would like to see one more path in the preferences : Currently, there is a path for meshes, a path for textures, and a path for projects. For my own, I always put my rendered images in a dedicated folder, separating by the way input files and output files. So, I would like a path for rendered images, because each time I save an image, Octane opens the project folder, and I have to search the render folder.

I will also ask again for a packing feature, like in indigo, allowing to create a folder containing all files used in the selected ocs project : obj, mtl and all textures. As all my textures are in the same folder, it is really usefull when one have to pack a scene to send it for checking purpose or saving the project on a USB key for example.

I don't mean I absolutely want this in the next upcoming release, but please keep these features in mind ! ;)

Thank you in advance.

Philippe.
