Hi Exaco,
adding OSL in Octane was not a joke, but thankfully it is going to arrive in 3.08, so only a bit of more patience please.
Anyway you can always prepare your materials in Standalone, save them in LocalDB, and reuse them in any plugin, not a big deal, I guess.
