You don't need it so often (or do You), thus there's no need (in my view) to clutter workspace (especially if You have one screen). What if every button would be visible?mykola1985 wrote:Hi Karba,
it would be nice to see the ''low priority'' button in the octane render viewport. i think it would be more comfortable when you are in full screen mode especially for those having a single monitor

Hi I can´t use 2.01 at all, try to render any scene, but its neither working with octane previw render or production. If I use production an error message comes up:
An exception occurred while rendering with 3ds Max.
This render will abort. If you render again without resolving the exception, you may experience instability.
Unknown Exception

Went back to 2.0

Hair support is incredible! I found some issues that may or may not already be known that are fine for this stage of development of this feature, but figure should be addressed anyway.
First: When root-tip thickness is above about 0.1 or 0.2, there are strange polygons that appear at the tips. The workaround is just to leave tip thickness below those values.

Secondly: There appears to be a lack of specularity in the hair (or scattering/translucency). I don't believe there's a way to assign a custom material to the hair, as this would solve this problem.

Other than those things (and the non-interactivity which I know is being worked on) the hair support is amazing, thank you so much Karba and the rest of the Octane team!

Ornatrix and Hair&Farm are fixed. Wait for a new release.
I can't reproduce this "An exception occurred while rendering with 3ds Max."
Could anybody provide me with a simple scene?
