Well, it was just a question, and I could hear 'no' if you think it inappropriate. I've already heard no twice now to putting the Blender 2.49 settings there, so I'm used to it.James wrote:I can put it there, as it is related, but that is the OBJ import settings for when you are in octane.

Thank you very much for addressing this issue, 3ds max actually crashed with default settings... BUT, has anyone found a way to export proper materials? Meaning, if we could find material settings right so when imported we could have glossy materials, specular etc... For now, if you export a mesh with a standard blinn with specular, when it's imported to octane it effectively turns the material "specular", that is, transparent or glass-like. Even more, if you import to max the chess scene that comes as an example with the demo, and re-export to Octane, the materials go glass!

Is there any good way to prepare and export a scene with all materials in C4D 11.5 ?
In one of the videos available in Octane website there is plugin named Riptide, but when I use
it Octane crashes.
And when I use the Wavefront exporter in C4D I loose all textures and the different objects in the scene
get the same black material when I import in Octane and I cannot manipulate them separately ...
Any help ?
Thanks
