Juanjo - I am afraid I have stumbled upon another much needed feature:
Working with many nodes in Octane LW is becoming a total cluster-f*ck...
and very difficult to quickly figure out what is what...
If there is some way that you could make it so that when we double-click any
node (and bring up the settings) and we can enter a small line of text in a field --
and this overrides the header/name/title/whatever at the top of that node...
this would be huge.
Kind of similar to the ability to rename stuff in standalone - which I miss
quite a bit.
And if you could make the title bar backgrounds different colors - based on
type of node, this too would indeed rock.. and allow us to work even faster.
Help us Obi Juanjo Kenobi... you're our only hope!

Hmm. all I can see is a place to assign default folders, but nothing is saved in there unless I actually export the texture. If I do that it saves it as an .ocm file and I'm guessing the textures are embedded in that. Any other ideas?juanjgon wrote:AFAIK this images are stored in a directory when you download a liveDB material using Standalone, check the Standalone preferences, they must be there.gordonrobb wrote:Cheers Guys. I have been trying to copy some of the settings from materials in the LiveDB on Standalone version. However, some of them have images as part of their setup. Is there any way to get these images? Or is there a way to get the LiveDB textures into Lightwave better?

It says "This account is currently activated on an another machine. please deactivate it on the other machine first and wait ten minutes befor reactivating it on this machine, or activate another account\license"juanjgon wrote:I am not sure about this problem. What is the error message?, perhaps you must activate the Standalone license using the same Standalone program befor use it.giacob wrote:I have some problem with licensing.
My lightwave plugin works regurarly without problems, but if i open the standalone edition it says that the account is not actvivated and i should deactivate etc. etc...![]()
Whats the matter with that?
How come standalone edition seems to be not activated while beeing activated (otherwise the plugin wouldnt work and instead it does)

The problem is if i deactivate the account and riactivate it for standalone program the standalone program become activated but the plugin become disactivated and viceversa!!! So i cant have standalone program and plugin activated at the same time
How can i solve this problem?
Opsss ... I thought the images were stored in the texture path directory ... I am not sure if it is possible to get this texture maps. Anybody know if this is possible?gordonrobb wrote:Hmm. all I can see is a place to assign default folders, but nothing is saved in there unless I actually export the texture. I am not sure how this is possible. Do you have more than one license? ... perhaps you can deactivate all licenses using the web page (in your account, deactivate the Standalone and plugin licenses), and then activate the standalone license using the standalone program and later the plugin license ... if you have the standalone license activated, plugin only need it's own license to run.giacob wrote: It says "This account is currently activated on an another machine. please deactivate it on the other machine first and wait ten minutes befor reactivating it on this machine, or activate another account\license"

Remember that you must use two licenses, one for standalone and other for the plugin.

Raname the node is not possible, but I can set a color for each node type ... I will add this feature ASAPFrankPooleFloating wrote:Juanjo - I am afraid I have stumbled upon another much needed feature:

Something I didn't know: right click over the node or press "r" and you can rename itFrankPooleFloating wrote:Hmm... it seemed to me that since you are sticking (1).. (2)... at the
ends of titles when there are multiple copies, there should be a method
to change these variables to whatever you like...
You are saying that even the (1), (2), (3) vars can't be changed?
(to something more meaningful)... even 8 characters or so would make
a big difference.
You will have to excuse me - I am a JS programmer, and know enough
about programming and app dev to be a pain in the ass for someone
like yourself.

OMFG!!!
How did I miss that?.. it is not like I never right-clicked on your nodes...
Oh - you just stuck colors in there.. nice! Those look good to me...
but from an aesthetics standpoint: maybe a tiny bit less saturated...
more subtle pastel type colors.. easier on eyeballs.
Does the whole node need to be colored, or can it just be the title bars?...
I would vote for just bars...
And not to be a further pain in the ass.. but that olive color in the IPR
bar is a little yucky.. maybe something else.
