An interesting benchmark would be some of these scenes with the new cloud edition render with the maximum GPUs (128 as I understand). Since for most of us a scene like this would be impossible to render out for animation. It would be really staggering to see how quickly it chews through a complex scene.

With the new fog system, I am not able anymore to do those volumetric clouds made by profbetis
I think it is because the ray_step node disappear.
It could be nice with the fake shadow. If we could control those clouds and dont have the opaque surface it will make very nice clouds.

is that the only settings to a specular mat applied to your clouds? (a terrain sort of things I see..) I'm testing a terrrain in reverse (or more than one I see from your wireframe) but it just looks like dark thick clouds...
