No way, intalled, reintalled in a different order (driver after the toolkit) intallled and reintalled XQuartz, but Octane don't even lauchs, and the crash report says:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libglut.3.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/OctaneRender 1.022 beta2.2 Demo.app/Contents/MacOS/octane
Reason: image not found
I have som problems to install in a Win7 64, too, worked just when I used the run as adminnistrator option....

Hi,

That message means you need to install the XQuartz distribution, there's a link on our downloads page.

try installing the XCode package which is on your OS X install CD.

Hi

Same old problem, great potential but too hard too get up and running. Had a great run with Artlantis/Archicad for last 10 years but looking to improve results without using 3DMax etc- I am a working architect not a 3D artist. Now also using Revit and hate the Mental Ray renderer- Revit problem I think. Also Revit export to Artlantis does not work.
Octane installed on MacBook Pro ok but does not 'see' the .obj file i have created out of Archicad (grey'd out). Getting too old for all this- why can't software work?
Had no problems 10 years ago with Archicad/Artlantis so may go back, and no, I will not buy a PC- I can use windows to run Revit on Mac/Intel so all ok except that I would like a decent fast rendering program

MacBook Pro 2.6Gz/4Gb/10.6.2 SnowLeopard/ GeForce8600mGT

Hi,

You need to add the OBJ file as a meshnode, you can't do file->open as that is for octane project files,
please watch the demo tutorial videos, big question mark image link on our downloads page (top left), can't miss it.
