Is there an issue with saving 32bit EXR files? I'm using the Max save dialog settings, set it for 32bit, but the EXR only contains 8 or 16bit data when I look at it in Photoshop. The file says it's 32bit, but there is no linear data in the highlights from what I can see. SHould it be working or is this a limitation?

Have you switched off apply for output option in imager settings?

I was using the camera settings - as per the other thread - but see that it is on in the render dialog. Does the tonemapping also clamp? Is it possible to have the tone-mapping done for the colour/contrast, but maintain the image in float?

This option works any way.
It is impossible to have unclamped colors with tone mapping.

I understand. So does that mean I have to choose the linear preset or just uncheck the apply tonemapping box in the rollout?

Hi all,
I wanted to report a bug.
Texture map is not rendered when there are unicode characters in it's dir path.
It's a bit strange cause i'm using Max 2013 here and Max SDK should have full unicode support now?

Anyway. Should be an easy fix.

Most of my textures render out gray.
What could be the reason? (not related to unicode bug)

I had to set everything to proxy, then textures re-appeared.
If i removed proxies colpetely, then most of my textures went back to gray. Strange?

Amazing interactive ,the Octane demo.
I've Instaled this version of the plugin for 3ds max 2013 ,and licensed all right.
I could go for an official version, instead of a Beta, Should I ?
However I can't see any render image while rendering the files.
I noticed there is an option for Octane window and the native render window for Max .
Both are black.I was also expecting your plugin to open Octane, and it just didn't happen
Do you have a tutorial link you could send me , please ?
I am sure it's all happening because I am a complete Newbie to this plugin.
Don't send me a link to the manual, it didn't help .
