Thanks for releasing Beta2.2RC2, Good job as always!

I did a quick test, and here are what I have noticed so far:
1. speed drop: the same test scene (exported out from Maya)
Beta2.2 RC1: 2.25 megasample/ sec
Beta2.2 RCw:1.87 megasample/ sec

2. material smooth on glossy doesn't work, as some has mentioned in earlier post.
at the moment the solution is jump to diffuse, and back to glossy.

3. Material picker jumps the camera in beta2.2 RC2, didn't remember it happened in beta2.2 RC1

4. multi-gpu doesn't accelerate the render speed.
Actually, for the demo chess set obj, it does speed up when using two GPU (GTX480 + FX1800)
Though, again, in the scene exported out from Maya (with the script), does not see any change of the speed.

5. Huge back ball shadow following the camera, blocking the light in the scene. I am not sure again if it's OC, or
maya plugin problem, since for the plugin we don't have unit transfer function yet (e.g. centimeter to meter).

I am not sure if it's beta2.2 RC2 or Octane2Maya script problem, I will report on both then.

well the update is way slower than the beta 2.1. i have tested it. as sheepfactory mentioned the daylight isnt realtime anymore.

Good so it is not just me. Is anyone else having daytime realtime update problems?

Ok I am having a couple problems with this release, I will list them as clear as I can:

-The lack of realtime daylight editing is not isolated to daytime itself but all throughout the app. From adjusting focal lenght to aperture. I do not get realtime feedback in any of those. It freezes and updates when I let go of the slider or stop moving it.

- I am getting flashes of white as I move sliders in the render viewport like a strobe light effect. This is especially visible when you move the aperture slider. The screen flashes white in certain slider positions and slowly fades back to normal.

feedback time..

vertical bars gone :D

the device manager reports I have 4095mb device memory usage - should be 1024 I think ;) I have 4gb of system ram though :)

what happened to the roughness slider that the values changed 0-1 and it now is smoother(reflective) at the left end? guess you missed it in the notes..

ok more -with daylight raising the power setting past 1.72 causes night time spotlight appearance - actually quite cool  dont fix it  - perhaps this was the issue I reported last time without realising I had fiddled with it...

Perfect multi-gpu scalability.

1x GTX480 = 4.40 Msamples/sec
2x GTX480 = 8.60 Msamples/sec
4x GTX480 = 16.67 Msamples/sec
8x GTX480 = 32.20 Msamples/sec

2x GTX480 = (8.60/4.40)/2 = 0.97727
4x GTX480 = (16.67/4.40)/4 = 0.94715
8x GTX480 = (32.20/4.40)/8 = 0.91477

It's really perfect !!! :D :D :D

I was not aware of this, where did you post it ?
It's difficult keeping track of 100 posts every day...

Radiance
If first reported it in my Gallery Threat (Ladybug).

When I change the resolution to 4096 x 512 all is ok but when I set Y to 1024 the picture went black ... when I try to set it back to 512 nothing changes only if I set X back to 1024 ... strange

Works pretty good on my 8800GGTS512
Daylight refresh in real time.

One problem I've noticed is that texture scale does not work for values above 1.
