Been looking up OTOY and Jules Urbach......simply freakin amazing.....Lightstage is unreal! Have not seen anything lately on it, but this could be a match made in heaven. :shock:

I am very thankful for this official anouncement, all the speculation and rumors were very irritating. Now I am crossing fingers for all the promises being kept.

Paul Debevec is some kind of legend, having him in the team is a big advantage.

i got full confidence in whatever is happening here=) my 2 cents

things are going a fantastic way and everybody who knows how much work this shit means and how many sweat and bloody tears are in this will think the same way...
there is no fully working app made in a year or two.. but once the basic steps are made things go on and on - and here these steps are being made

Congratulations! Octane is a terrific product, it's become a part of my everyday workflow. I can only see myself using it more and more in the future.

Congrats to all!

I hope with added brain trust that we will cross a threshold of displacement mapping with path tracing or an alternate kernel just for displacement map support with direct lighting.
Seeing how kepler cards will get more video ram in the near future and maybe a newwer version of cuda.
