REDSPEC SSS

Upgraded to latest plugin. now getting error applying redspec sss. Tried redtony, and the latest TGX 5.1. have to click through 10 error screens, then tells me it converted all the materials. render, but not sure if getting the right results. seems onlu to change gamma. posted are some of the errors I'm getting. Any ideas? Thanks.

morphious2013 - that error message is describing the issue well. You are loading a POC for which do you not have the texturemaps on your PC. The new version of the plugin is reporting if it cannot find texturemaps, whereas the old version did not.

I got the same problem:
- 1/ i'm SURE that i have these textures
- 2/ skin used do not use these missing textures (it's the most strange thing, i.e: V4 was mapped with Danae Lyon's textures & when i launch the settings he asked me for Maddelirium character's textures).

This is a very minor trouble it concerns few textures mapped on V4, bump map more precisely (or whatever you want), most of the time i copy/paste the "missing" maps.

You have e:\Poser Pro\3d-stuff....blar..blar...blar???

These might be from the eye mats, or another material.

Also, if your current material DOESN'T have a specular map, and the imported Redspec material DOES have a specular map, if you "Keep Existing Texturemaps", the specular map reference will still be imported, and probably won't be present on your hard disk.

The old version of the plugin did not notify you of missing texturemaps, so this was probably always a issue - just just never knew about.

Hey people... ignore those errors please... it does not cause any render defects.. If there could be a option in the plugin to delete nodes I could fix this easy

To delete a node, change the node type for that pin to RGB Color and set the color to black.

How do I get these textures maps? Why am I missing them?

Because those are the textures REDSPEC was designed with as placeholders - those missing files are NOT referring to the textures you're trying to apply redspec too.
