That's sucks, would be awesome if it worked since it gives a awesome effect to the picture. Cheers for helping baz.
Let's hope the developers can do it ;)

There a chance anyone could make a script for me that would do that. As a possibility?

Hi baz,

Just like to ask with this [export smoothing] function, does it take the whole smoothed mesh? I seem to have to smooth the living god out of the mesh to actually get it to not how the polys in the mesh. Octane renders you can see every detail, though seeing poly with a hard edge around them is not interesting 8/

I seem to be having lots of problems with a turntable render I'm doing. I'm not sure if it's a glitch but octane is shitting itself, I'm using 100 percent RAM, opening this file in octane via the plugin for maya. I'm not sure why, it's seems to be taking forever? There a max tri / poly limit? It is a high detailed mesh, but not too bad. My computer handles every high detailed mesh, though this one it's either a glitch with octane or Maya. Any ideas?

Cheers,

if u want to render only cam animation u have a check box for camera only, so script wont export obj for every frame, it will send only the camera data to octane...
