well this is the probl

http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... =28&t=4100

if i already have exported scene to octane and i have setup the shaders and other stuff, when i lets say move obj inside maya and i try to render again i get everything inside octane reset to defaults??? (shaders gone, sun direction, etc...)

i also tried with max and xsi exporter and i got the same thing, so must be octane then ;)

cheers

I think it has something to do with the [Save] feature. If you try going [Save as] and overwrite that .osc file it works for me. Just the heads up, that might be the problem.

Hi bazuka,

Just wondering with rendering Animation frame by frame, is it possible to get AF (Low Depth of Field) in everyframe via the Animation?

I seem to have to keep clicking the image of where I want the AF to go, for everyshot.

It's for a client production. Are you going to answer?

yes, i was out...

well im not sure i can do that from the script (maya)

i can export from maya only the maya2octane GUI settings, for now

im not sure if we r talking about same thing, u have in script the 'aperture' thats the DOF all u need to point the camera focus on some model and set the aperture value...

would be best to send me some sample or scene...

cheers

Image

Sorry about that bazuka. I would send the scene though all togther with the (.mtl .obj .ocs) it's over 150MB.

I'll send you a picture of the shot I rendered out with the AF (Depth of Field) tool. If you see in that picture, it's got it on, though when I save over the .ocs file it happeneds to no focus on her again. It does not even focus and it the whole scene goes blurred. Is there a way that for every frame it can focus on her without me clicking it everytime?

400 Frames at 4000samples with clicking is too hard :P
