I sure hope Octane X does not only run on the Mac Pro, I am a MacBook Pro guy and I wish to stay mobile. I have been using Octane in C4D since 2014. I used it on many many projects for Mercedes Benz R&D projects some of which ended up in the cars. I really prefer Mac, but if they want to force me on to PC permanently then make for MacPro only... and I'm done. I have high hopes for WWDC 2020

does anyone want to speculate with me as we watch WWDC ?
I am sort of hoping that it becomes GPU agnostic, and we can model on our Macs and use our PC GPU render nodes [that each contains 4 x GPUS] on the network. I'm wondering if we will have to swap to AMD cards in the network PCs tho. But hopefully it just allows us to have mixed environment! We do this now, albeit with Macs that are stuck on 10.13.6 and Nvidia eGPUs!

Okay I'm ready!
Seriously, even though I just transitioned to a PC the new macOS design has me nostalgic for going back. Would still keep my PC for heavy simulation work and a render node but could see using my 16 inch with an eGPU. Also excited to see if Octane works well with the XDR display.
Would love to see more beta spots open up

OK, let us wait for OTOY to stand up and say: We have entered a new round of testing, and we expect to see OctaneX on MacOS 11.5, which is really fast.

The new wait starts now!
They should be embarrassed to reply to us here. They said: We are not waiting for the end of 2019, we are not waiting for 10.15.5, we may not need to wait for Bigsur, we are waiting for ARM Mac? Do you want to see more news?
