Hi Everyone,

I'm experiencing some rookie problem. A scene with an animated object and a X-particles trail system renders perfectly fine in LV and updates positions with every frame.

When I try to render it out via Octane to picture viewer animations to not work and the X-particles trails don't render at all.

What am I doing wrong here?

Hi, you should check the render settings first. What's the different between "Send all...." and "Send updated....." methods. Also posted many replies for this settings and particles. And please check demo scenes to study the concept.

And additiaonaly you may need to cache particles

I tried all that. Render settings don't make a difference. And again: The animation works in LV. Just not when I render it out to picture viewer. Even though I have 'send all scene data' selected the geometry doesn't get updated.

can you post here? I'm curious about that. I'll post a scene after seeing what's the problem

Ah hairs! I have thought irrelevant reasons. You should locate the Hair videopost before Octane render.
Sorry for much tricks, but that's only way to collect hair data. Thanks maxon;)

never mind. Got the geometry to work too.
TNX so much again! I had been fiddling with this for hours. Would never have guessed that the order of items in C4D's render settings plays any role.

Interestingly it doesn't refreshes on "resend all data". I'm checking your scene. But my advice to you that's to use "Resend only updated objects" + "Faster updates". It will elliminate export times and will works as LV's workflow. Much faster with big amount meshes.

EDIT: got it worked. Strange things happens. Btw, i have mentioned about order of hair videspost on manual. It's a limitation c4d's sdk with our workflow.
