the octane tags have no basic tab.
normally a tag in c4d has 2 tabs in the attribute manager: "Basic" and "Tag"
but the octane tags don´t have this. the problem is you can´t rename the tags. when you have a lot of object tags for example and want to animate the parameter, you have a lot of tags in the timeline with the same name. if you could rename the tags it would be nice.

a button to store the values for the render region in rendersettings would be useful.
at the moment the values are automatically overwritten with the current settings of the liveviewer as soon as i activate render region in liveviewer. i can´t prevent to loose the settings in the rendersetting when i activate render region in LV which is sometimes a bit frustrating.
i would prefer to decide if i want the new settings also in the rendersettings or not.
in the c4d standard renderer, there is a button "Copy from IRR". this is a better solution in my opinion.

I want the Render Buffer Type in the Render Settings set to Float Buffer by default.
It happens over and over that somebody forgets to change it and the renderings are useless afterwards.

Those gradient default colors are useless and time consuming.
Ahmet, Please make those black & white, i'm sure no one will care.

stepmode for gradient. is this possible in the c4d version?- New gradient node ("Octane Gradient2 Texture"). This node support up to 24 inputs, it is easy to configure without key positions and support a "step" mode to get not interpolated colors.

Teorically yes.fuchsundvogel wrote:stepmode for gradient. is this possible in the c4d version?- New gradient node ("Octane Gradient2 Texture"). This node support up to 24 inputs, it is easy to configure without key positions and support a "step" mode to get not interpolated colors.

then please implement it.
this can be used to randomize different textures on instances wit the random node. at the moment the images get mixed.

Hello,
I don't know if I'm the first one to request this, but it would be nice to have some kind of drag/move function for the liveviewer. Whenever I use lock resolution, I have to either scale the liveviewer very big (which doesn't work all the time) or unlock the camera and move it to the detail I like to see in 100% resolution.
I'm sure there's a workaround for that, with camera offsets or something similar, but a liveviewer function would be best.
thanks alot,
Cornelius
