Thanks Beppe. Any update on when we can expect Octane X PR2 for C4D?

Hi!I am building a computer purely and exclusively to be able to use Octane with C4D, but first I wanted to confirm if with these specifications I would have no problem.
* Intel I7-10700 4.8Ghz 16Mb S.1200
* Mother MSI (1200) B460M Bazooka
* Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super Ultra Gaming 8Gb
* Ram PNY XLR8 GAMING 16GB 3200Mhz RGB
* Ssd Adata XPG Spectrix S40G RGB 256GB M.2 2280
* HDD 1TB Western Digital Sata III 64Mb 3.5" Blue
* Power supply 750W EVGA N1
* CPU Cooler Xigmatek WindPower WP964 RGB
* Thermaltake Versa H15 Black
Will it work??
thanks!!!!

Is this going to change in the future so we can use GPU for denoise or is this some hardware limitation for AMD gpus?in OctaneX, AI Denoiser is performed by the CPU, not the GPU, so it is a bit slower to calculate, but it does not affect GPU memory, and does not need to select a GPU for it.
Note that you need a CPU from 2015 or newer, to have the necessary instructions to perform AI denoiser.
it may change in the future, but we don’t have an exact ETA yet.Stathis wrote:Is this going to change in the future so we can use GPU for denoise or is this some hardware limitation for AMD gpus?in OctaneX, AI Denoiser is performed by the CPU, not the GPU, so it is a bit slower to calculate, but it does not affect GPU memory, and does not need to select a GPU for it.

If it runs C4D it should work – but I'd suggest building a PC with room and power for more than one GPU. Octane is powerful, but it still needs hardware to work; put two GPUs in and you'll really notice the difference. Alternatively, make sure your build can support the latest Ampere GPUs (30xx series), which are way more powerful. If you're speccing a PC now, I'd future proof it as much as possible.

Hi guys,
Is there a way to lock the viewport to a camera? It nly seems to lock to a resolution. I could lock to a camera in RS, Cycles, and Arnold....
