On my system I can not switch between different camera nodes.
Did anybody else experience the same problem?

I hope RS will fix this soon because it is the major reason I can't use it for production.

It's already fixed :)

We probably won't make it this week, but we plan to release a new test version next week. It will include the new render framework with the new multi-GPU code and a few other goodies. It will then also be possible to use an ATI card for display and NVIDIA cards for rendering.

Cheers,
Marcus

Define "few other goodies" please ;)

Regarding ATi part, i am speechless. I will probably keep radeon 4870 in my older compy and just add the spare gtx460 i have instead of replacing the radeon with it then. Hopefully the PSU will be enough for that.

It's nothing major, but some nice additions that have accumulated over the last weeks. Please wait and see :)

Hi abstrax,

there is another thing that you could fix (if you did not already):

If you want to save a rendered image into a folder with a special character like 'ü' for example,
it will not be saved (without any error message).
I am usually avoiding special characters for materials, nodes ect. but it should be possible to save an image into a folder liker e.g 'Tür'.

Cheers

I loooooooove surprises, but be aware that so do zombies, muhahahaha, anyway, thanks, this test release has been lot's of fun, and got me not only to do some crazy tests but even to learn some modeling skills and rigging, so what more can you ask of a "simple" test release? (I'll post those tests tomorrow, hopefully, so you might get a kick out of them, they are a mix between a joke and a thank you)

It seems that SSS is not in the features list of versions 1.x of Octane. Is it right ?

Hi all,
Is there a known issue with pmc and 8800GT card?
Whatever I do I get a white noisy image at the beginning of all my renders with pmc. Even after some minutes cooking I still get a noisy white still.
An example is attached.
