Hello, the camera target picker seems to be broken, when I pick an area of the scene it does not center it to what I picked.

It's working fine here. Could you please post a screenshot showing the issue?Tharso wrote:Smooth in material option, dont work with rtx in this version?
Thanks!
What type of file format is the newly added Color Vertex Attribute looking for, it just has an asterisk but no file type?

Attribute is a value stored on a geometry, like color or normals. The blank area is to type the name of that particular attribute.
For example Color is stored as Cd inside of Houdini, so you take the color vertex attribute map and type Cd for it to read vertex colors in Houdini.
It's not a texture map.
Whether a software can generate attributes is dependent upon the software you use. Mostly this is for use inside Houdini, C4d, Maya or 3dsmax. Alembic has support for writing attributes along with geometry. So you can write a geometry from Houdini with attributes out as an alembic file and read those attributes in standalone using the color vertex attribute map.
As I said, attribute support is primarily for supporting Houdini as attributes play a huge role in shader building in Houdini.

To the developers,
Thank you adding point and curve attribute support.
All that is left is attribute support for Instances.

Rohan

@Rohan,- I get that you can instruct via typing "Cd" in the 'String Value' option to query the ABC for the color, which is stored via meta data under the ID "Cd", so that it can be used.rohandalvi wrote:Attribute is a value stored on a geometry, like color or normals. But the color attribute node also has a 'File Name' option...
Wondering what that fie type used is.
Thanks for the info!

The new Hosek-Wilkie Sky Model is great but where is the most important option like sun intensity ? It was main problem with other Octane sky models too. We have power to set overall exposure like sky intensity but there is no individual setting for sun Intensity and it shadow. How to make ambient mood without going to HDR lighting ?
Increasing Turbidity doesn't decrease Sun intensity like it is in other Octane Sky Models - something wrong is here with Hosek&Wilkie model.
