Please update the SDK to make Octane plugins support NV Link.

We are planning to get another build out this week that should fix this problem.SSmolak wrote:Please update the SDK to make Octane plugins support NV Link.

Thank you very much ! Finally we will be able to build larger scenes or using better textures without worrying about memory problems.abstrax wrote:We are planning to get another build out this week that should fix this problem.SSmolak wrote:Please update the SDK to make Octane plugins support NV Link.

Hi!
It looks like the first input in the Multiply Texture node it's always clumped to a value <= 1. The second input can accept any value (you can use a Grayscale Texture with a value of 4 for example, and it will be "kept").
This behaviour can create some issues, since artists would expect to get the same result whatever the order of the values is (I've been contacted by a user, Umberto Celentano, that was getting different results when inverting the values in Octane for Blender, so I investigated the Multiply Texture behaviour in Standalone).
Would it be possible to make the first input in the Multiply Texture node free to accept any value just like the second input?
Thanks!

Hello Guys!Jolbertoquini wrote:Hi Guys,
Me again about the same thing cause I didn't had any reply or help to understand the reasons behind if is a Maya Plug issue or a Standalone about Alembic instances?
The strange thing is Octane 3.06 works and other Octane not which makes the file huge cause doesn't recognize the instances as scatter nodes the file scene and the breakdown problem description is on the link here:

Can somebody give us a light and a reply about it? the same issue on this version.
Regards,
JO

Would be helpful some explanation please.

Hi Otoy,
is it hard to create 7 frame temporal denoiser for animations so denoised areas won't be jittering from frame to frame? Like here disney did https://youtu.be/eGAjsSNtX6E?t=388
