Thank God !
Finally we'll be able to be portable and independent just as was believed to be the case when originally purchased.
For efficiency and freedom of workflow we need this. A real professional move.

Thank you

This week we plan to release a test release beta 2.48 which contains the new render framework plus some more stuff. The beta 2.48 release will not contain the ability to work offline. This will be available with beta 2.5, which is planned to be released next week in the commercial releases forum.

Cheers,
Marcus

Just as well Octane does not have a store front.

It would get a bit like the apple stores when they release a new IPad / Iphone / I...whatever.

Queue's around the corner..... waiting.

So is the next version going to have multi-gpu at full permormance at last? cause I've been waiting for this feature several months ago and looks like the light at the end still far, any estimated date about when are we going to have full multi-gpu performance? by the way... great news about the off-line use of Octane, now you're on the right path, but I hope you move at the end for an off-line activation aswell, because we don't really know what is going to happend in the future, and I bought several software licenses from companies that are no longer available, and if you dissapear sometime in the future I would like to keep using the software I bought even if you no longer exist (hopefully is not going to happend, but who knows...)

Wow, really great news ! As I never use the Live DB, I will only take advantage of the offline version ! After my website completely crashed 3 days ago and still being repaired, this great information comes at the good moment to bring back a big smile on my face :)

A big THANK YOU to the whole team !
