I went through the steps of installing Octane for Unity fresh myself, but didn't run into the issue you are experiencing. Which version of Unity are you using? I just tried it with 2017.4.1f1.

Hi,
Like the others in this thread, I'm still having issues. I ended up parking this issue out of frustration and decided to try again tonight. I'm running the latest Unity2018.2.8f1 & Octane V1.1.1.1326

The behavior I get is that Unity immediately stops working and crashes when you try and 'Load Octane'. It seems to die when Octane tries 'Activating Octane License.'

I have to assume at this point that running this in an Azure VM (even with the seemingly appropriate specs - see my previous post) is just not supported.?? It would be great if someone could confirm this so I could stop spinning my wheels. If this mode (running in Azure) is not supported yet, that's fine.

I did note that on the PBR Setting page, the sections for 'Devices' and 'Out of core' were all greyed out. I wasn't sure if that was normal behavior.

Are you getting any respond messages (can be found in the Unity console), or does it go silent?

We haven't tried running the project in an Azure VM, so I am unable to tell you if that is supported or not. Devices & Out of Core are grayed out when Octane hasn't been initialized yet (or was unable to load).
