I add a placement node for a mesh, select it and activate any of the transform icons but don't get any transform icon whatever is the gizmo mode (local or world).
Any tips ?
Ok, it seems you have to enable the object picker tool (see viewtopic.php?p=320255#p320255). We will fix the bug in the next release. Sorry about that.
I tried to activate the object picker tool, but it didn't make any difference for me. Still didn't show the gizmo on Linux.

For the gizmo, try to insert render target node, and link the placement (or scatter) node to the render target.

Thanks, but I tried that too, unfortunately no difference.

Hmm, I have been trying to reproduce the reported issues, but here it works fine. So I don't know what's going on yet. Which camera do you use?

Could you try the attached scene and let me know if the object handles work for you in this scene? If they do, it must be a scene specific problem in which case it would be great, if you could send me the scene (or a stripped down version of it). Thank you.

I confirm, it works fine with your scene, very strange

Edit : I think I have identified the problem, at least for me, the problem doesn't seem to rely to Octane but to the object. In my case the origin of the object is far from the object itself, after made some rotation with the camera the gizmo appeared but was not visible at first. Could other people having the same issue check if the origin of the object is on the object or so far that it can't be visible.

Thanks Enrico, I can confirm as well. Although I was not able to find the gizmo on my objects, they just must be very far away from the object. It appears that when I use objects from 3D-Coat, the origin is not setup correctly, or maybe not at all? If I reset the origin in Blender they work fine. :)
