Unfortunately, it is highly unfeasible to build Pascal support into V2 rendering core (aka the Standalone) - especially when compared to completing the refactoring of the current V3 plugin build.
Getting solid timeframe estimates will require clearing through a decent portion of the current workflow. We'll be looking to post an update on progress in the very near future - there is currently a boost in resources taking place that will improve workflow and help to accelerate elements of this production process. We look forward to commenting in greater detail once these are in place.

Finally it seems there's a chance that Pascal cards will work with Octane 2 plugin,Braca wrote:is there any chance that Pascal cards will work with Octane 2.x ? Since there is no usable 3.X plugin for Maya?
this is a matter of re-compiling the plugin with the new V2 sdk when it will be updated next week:

Pascal ANDRE
That is correct. An initial hesitancy to update the V2 builds any further (aside from bug-fixes) has now been overruled in favor of the addition of Pascal support for V2. I can now confirm that this will be available either this week, or next week at the latest.calus wrote:Finally it seems there's a chance that Pascal cards will work with Octane 2 plugin,Braca wrote:is there any chance that Pascal cards will work with Octane 2.x ? Hi,
All builds of V2 OctaneRender Standalone edition (Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux) will be re-built with Pascal support in place, so yes OSX will be covered in this update. After that, the current plugin versions will need to be updated to run on the new V2 standalone version.
