Marcus,
Am I missing something? Does it allow to render at once bump over normal? How to enable this feature? When I deactivate or active the function it's not affection the scene at all in any passes.
No, it's related to the new baking function to let you bake also this channels together with beaty, diffuse, roughness, ior, transmission, refraction and reflection... if I don't forget anyone...

We don't have an updated manual for v3 yet. That's partially due to the fact that we are currently overhauling the documentation web site, which needs to be finished until we can publish an updated manual for v3. We will let you know when the v3 manual is available until then, please refer to the v3 new features thread and its discussion.

Question: How has the sampling for PMC been improved? I have a couple of personal projects that would look great with unblurred caustics, Do the new changes improved the speed of refinement for caustics by and significant margin?

can't wait to test this alpha with 3ds Max....
I remember that Karba released the plugin the same day of each Octane major update...
Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Modo, Rhinoceros, Daz and Poser plugins are already available.

I don't understand...

We probably don`t have 3dsmax v3 because only JimStar works on 3 plugins max, maya and blender :( they need to hire more people.

Jim is currently developing an important part of 3.x that we are planning to introduce in Max/Maya/Blender/SU first before rolling it out to all plug-ins.

Nice! I can only guess what that feature might be but I'd love to see ability to import ORBX. Or even better, ability to generate and export a scatter CSV file. Any one else care to speculate?

Just noting with performance on 12 GPUs (Titan Z)
So I am still seeing laggy viewport UI at 12 GPU in V3 Alpha 2, and it gets less laggy as I move count of rendering GPUs down to 1.
I noticed as a comparison that in V2.23.2, there actually is also a slight added lag to the viewport when more GPUs are active in rendering. However, it is no where as crippling of a lag as it is in V3 Alpha 2.

In a nutshell, the more GPUs you use, the worse the Viewport lag (panning, rotating, zooming) gets, even if a very low memory project. Again, interesting that this bad lag is not present in V2.23.2.
