I've got my first problem with Octane in Win10...
One of the render target in my Fushimi Inari scene (the grass closeup), causes the video drivers to fail...
It was working fine in Windows 7...

Try installing the Octane Standalone installer exe (not the zip). It will set the Nvidia card time-outs in the registry.I've got my first problem with Octane in Win10...

It worked! Thanks Paul!
you will want to use custom setting instead of express ones - this first screencap might give you an idea why - microsoft default settings are very free with giving away of your data - I'm ok with facebook and google raping me, but M$ doesn't feel so trustworthy to me -
- anyway, upgrade went OK - I needed at least 9 gb of space, (first it said 7 then 9) I kept it at 10..
- all the octane stuff worked all apps I tried so far, this is on a render slave machine - so that one worked fine rendering octane..
- so far, it has a problem opening file explorer, where it loads very slowly - and right clicking on a drive just drops the explorer - I'm thinking as this is an upgrade maybe something got stuck with those context options..
- maybe windows update might do some damage control, mind you the win7 installation I was upgrading from was pretty much overdue for a clean reinstall..

Yesterday I did backup of widows 7 and updated to 10 and nothing was working. My computer could not even reboot. I am on 7 again. If I find some time I'll get install 10 from scratch.

It was doing the same for me, you need to have 20 or more GB free on C: drivesmicha wrote:Yesterday I did backup of widows 7 and updated to 10 and nothing was working. My computer could not even reboot. I am on 7 again. If I find some time I'll get install 10 from scratch.
I had over 100GB free. I think I'll go with an installation disc/usb stick using this softwareRikk The Gaijin wrote:It was doing the same for me, you need to have 20 or more GB free on C: drivesmicha wrote:Yesterday I did backup of widows 7 and updated to 10 and nothing was working. Have Quadro 2000D, 780Ti and 980. But Win10 see only 780Ti. Installed latest drivers: 355.60.
Any ideas?
