I noticed this marked as a bug fix "- Better handle of the rendering abort events to try to minimize the plugin freezes." seems to have the opposite effect on my system.
Weird issue. This is a problem that I have found while working with the Octane 2.24 API, that should be fixed with some minor changes that I have made in the plugin. I will make some new tests again.

Are you working with Windows 10?

uhmmm, I think that I can reproduce this problem again in my laptop. Perhaps it is a problem of Octane 2.24. I am going to work on it ... thanks for reporting.

Thanks Juanjo- I'm on Windows 7, LW 2015.1

Testing further myself I noticed I can sometimes use Abort & Continue and it doesn't freeze, it's hit and miss. But always seems to freeze if I let the render finish by itself.

Can you please test the attached plugin build? You only need to replace the plugin .p file (it is for LW 2015.x x64) ... It should show version 2.24.0.1. Please, let me know if it works fine now.

I have found a problem in the preview window handle functions that could be the origin of the layout freezes.

I tested the earlier version 2.24.0 and it freezed after F9 render was complete. Then I installed this version and now it works fine :)

Thank you!

Thanks. If it works fine also for MrFurious I will update the daily build with this fix.

Just a quick info from me, that on a Mac I have no freeze. I'd like to quickly switch to my windows partition and test there, but unfortunately the license is very restrictive and painful. Deactivating, waiting an hour, Activating , brrrr, wish otoy would handle this like most other companies do (ZBrush, Lightwave, etc..) do. This would be much more user-friendly, and allow users to switch without fuss.

Thanks. The Windows daily builds have been updated to the 2.24.0.1 version, with the fix to the Layout freeze problem.
